How to Participate in the Paladins Console Series (2018)

How to Participate in the Paladins Console Series (2018)

The Paladins Console Series is back for 2018! Starting February 2, players who want to compete for crystals and other prizing will be able to sign up for any of our weekly PCS tournaments and test their mettle with some of the best champions in the Realm.

If you want to participate in the PCS, we’ve put together this handy dandy guide that will tell you everything you need to know about how to sign up for the Paladins Console Series, when tournaments will be happening, and what steps teams need to follow to enter each weekly tournament.

How to Participate in the PCS

Getting your team involved in the Paladins Console Series is easy! Just follow these steps.

Step 1: Find a Team

Before you can sign up for the PCS, you’ll need a team of at least 5 members. If you already have a team put together, then you can skip straight to Step 2! But if you need to find some fellow Paladins players to party up with, you can head on over to the official Paladins Console Series Discord channel and find other players who are looking for teams to join.

Step 2: Join the PCS Discord

Once you’re ready to participate in a PCS tournament, you’ll want to join the official Paladins Console Series Discord channel to keep up with announcements about registration, check-in times, tournament start times, and more! All weekly signups will be posted in this Discord channel, so you’ll be missing out if you don’t hop in!

Step 3: Register for Your Region’s Weekly Tournament

Each region in the PCS — North America and Europe — will play their tournaments on a different day of the week. Registration for these tournaments will open one hour before games will be played. Here’s a breakdown of the days and times that teams in each region will need to check in for their weekly tournaments.

  • Fridays: Europe
    • Check-Ins: 10:00 AM ET – 11:00 AM ET
  • Saturdays: North America
    • Check-Ins: 1:00 PM ET – 2:00 PM ET

To check in for your region’s tournament, your team captain must check the PCS Discord for check-in announcements at the times listed above. In the #check-ins channel, a registration form will be posted for your team captain (and ONLY your team captain) to fill out. Captains must make sure that information is entered correctly and the form is completely submitted.

After check-ins have closed, your team captain will be granted a special role in Discord so they can access hidden channels and communicate with our tournament administrators. Once that’s been done, you simply have to wait for further instruction from those admins before your games start.

Step 4: Play & Win!

When all teams are registered and captains have their assigned roles in the server, a bracket will be posted that shows every match-up for that day’s tournament. Games will start immediately after check-ins close, and your region’s tournament admins will let you know when you can start playing your sets.

***Please Note: Every member of your team must stick around for the entire tournament, including bronze matches. If you or your fellow team members don’t stay for the entirety of the tournament (or until you get knocked out of the bracket), you will forfeit your placement and prizing for that week.

Once you’ve gotten the all clear to start your games, all that’s left to do is to play your way through the bracket and prove that your team is the best!

PCS Format, Prizing, and Rules

For more information on the tournament format and prizing that’s up for grabs during the weekly Paladins Console Series events, you can check out our handy guide to everything you need to know about the PCS. That post will go over the format for each phase of the PCS, the prizing structure for weekly tournaments and monthly finals, and how seeding will work each week.

If you’re planning to participate in the PCS, you’ll also want to read up on the rules to make sure your teams is up to snuff and you know how everything is supposed to work. We won’t list out all the rules here, but you can visit the official Paladins Console Series Rules post for all the information you need!

We here at Hi-Rez Studios are looking forward to another action-packed season of the Paladins Console Series, and we hope to see many of you in our weekly tournaments! Soon we’ll be posting a full broadcast schedule for PCS so that participants and fans alike can see exactly when each region’s games will be broadcast on Mixer.
