‘We’re eager to watch the world’s premier esports organizations play competitive Paladins”, said Todd Harris, Hi-Rez Studios Chief Operating Officer, “and we welcome them to compete in our league using the same team names they have spent years building up as recognizable to their fans.”
Teams have been assigned to the two inaugural PPL regions as follows:
- Natus Vincere
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- G2 Esports
- SK Gaming
- Team Envy
Todd continued, “We will bring the same community-driven approach to Paladins esports that we use in developing the game itself, and we’ve been fortunate to see our player base grow from hundreds to millions thanks to that community. Now the very best players get to compete in front of a global audience”
“We are excited to announce the start of PPL and the next official step for WESA and the Paladins community,” said Ken Hershman, Executive Chairman and Commissioner, WESA. “We look forward to bringing the league and top notch competition to millions around the globe.”
